Dr. (Mrs.) Marcellina (Mercy) Ndidi Oparaoji (Nee Uche)

Education:
Dr. Oparaoji possesses a Doctorate degree in Educational Leadership, Administration and Policy Studies (Ed.D.), from the George Washington University, Washington DC; A Master’s degree in Human Resource Development (M.Ed.) from the University of Minnesota, St. Paul, Minnesota; and Bachelor’s degrees in Science (BSc. Nursing); Howard University, Washington, DC and French Language and Education (B.Ed. French); University Of Minnesota, Minneapolis, Minnesota, respectively.
Marcellina is also professionally certified in the following fields: Banking; Training & Development; Performance Improvement Consulting; Analysis, Evaluation and Measurement; and Clinical Research Operations and Management.

Current Role & Interests:

Dr. Marcellina Oparaoji is currently the Executive Director, Clinical Research Operations, Office of Research, at Drexel University College of Medicine, Philadelphia, PA. She manages, supervises, leads and mentors the Research Budget, Clinical, Contract, Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement local and regional teams. Her role involves providing structure, ongoing direction and insight to the day-to-day research activities, including logistical planning of clinical research projects. Marcellina develops and implements expert soft skills and clinical research training, seminars and workshops, to all levels of students and staff regarding research operational standards. Her specialty includes building and establishing Training Departments where none existed. She has designed, planned, coordinated, and implemented Training Programs for Research and other Human Resources Development in the pharmaceutical industry, Academic institutions etc.

Key Accomplishments

Marcellina is a globally Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP), with an expertise in clinical research operations management. Dr. Oparaoji has managed faculty, students and facility and has led teams in the successful procurement and implementation of Federal and State government grants and awards. Marcellina has written, presented on diverse topics and published several articles. In 1998, Dr. Oparaoji received an Honorary Award as an International Educator: Phi Delta Kappa International from the George Washington University, Washington, DC – A Lifelong award. She has also received Community Service and Humanitarian awards.

Ndy Oparaoji, CPA, CISM, CGFM, FCA

Education:
Ndy is an Independent Consultant with a CPA from Delaware and Maryland states. He received a B. Sc degree in Accounting from the University of Lagos, Nigeria.

Current Role & Interests

Ndy has over 26 years experience in accounting; 19 years in public accounting and 8 in financial services industry. Ndy emphasizes the big picture in simplifying engagements. Ndy is a results-oriented professional experienced in leading and managing teams to accomplish objectives in audit management and financial statements audits; demonstrated proficiency in the use of various accounting/auditing standard, financial management/advisory services, proficient in the use of technology (accounting systems, desktop, etc.) and experienced in risk assessment based audit.

Previous Roles/Appointments:

Ndy Oparaoji served as a Senior Audit Manager at Clifton Gunderson LLP. Prior to that, he served as Audit manager at GKA & Associates. He has also served as Deputy Manager Internal Audit at Icon Merchant Bank Inc.

 

Mrs. Nwamaka Oparaoji

Education:
Mrs. Nwamaka Egeonu-Oparaoji RN, BS(MLS), MSN.

Nwamaka holds a Bachelors Degree in Nursing and Medical Laboratory Science. She graduated with ‘Honors’ in her Master’s Degree in Community/Public Health Nursing from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. USA. She obtained a Post Master’s Degree from the same University in ‘Teaching in Nursing and Health Professions. She is a ‘Global Health’ Scholar at the Institute of Global Health, University of Maryland, Baltimore with international interest in the developing Countries.

Current Role & Interests:
Nwamaka has been involved in several Community health program designs, proposals, facilitation and education. She has also done extensive work in health program proposal writing and logistics and evaluation. She is an Adjunct Faculty at Prince George’s Community College and Anne Arundel Community College, both in Maryland, USA. Nwamaka is a part-time Lecturer at Trinity Catholic University in Washington DC and also works at Doctors Community hospital, Lanham, Maryland. She volunteers part-time with several NGOs.
