ECUDOMEF and WDCHP Distribute Food to Widows, Children and Elderly

 

A grateful Participant Expressing Appreciation

Mbaise, Nigeria December 2010; During Christmas it is traditional for Christians in this part of the world, in addition to renewing their faith, to treat themselves, family and friends to good food and entertainment. Unfortunately not all, particularly widows, their children and elderly can afford a good meal let alone entertain others. ECUDOMEF working collaboratively with Women Development and Community Health Projects (WDCHP), a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), served prepared meal and distributed raw food items to these underprivileged groups.

Food Distributed to Community ParticipantsDuring the occasion Dr (Mrs) Ijeoma Dozie of the Federal Medical Center Owerri said, “we are very grateful to the organizers of today’s event for bringing smiles to the faces of these disadvantaged members of this community. Christmas is that period we all look forward to spoil ourselves, and it can be very lonely and depressing if you cannot.”
